The name Musafir isn’t just a handle; it’s a lifestyle. His journey began at the age of seven, fueled by a relentless curiosity for the outdoors. This passion was disciplined early on through his years as a Boy Scout, where he served from his primary years through high school, honing the essential survival and leadership skills that would become his foundation.
After the scouts, the “Musafir” spirit took over. He transitioned from school-level scouting to major global expeditions. From the lush trails of Maharashtra and the high-altitude peaks of Nepal to the desert ranges of the UAE and Oman, his life has been one long expedition. As a graduate of the Nehru Institute of Mountaineering (NIM), he founded HINDHIKES to bring professional-grade trekking culture to the global community.
His boots have touched the most diverse terrains imaginable:
The Himalayas: Technical climbs in Uttarakhand and Nepal.
The Sahyadris: Monsoon trekking and fortress trails in Maharashtra.
The Middle East: Navigating the rugged wadis and limestone peaks of the UAE and Oman.
Today, as the founder of HINDHIKES, Musafir uses his decades of experience to lead a community of explorers, ensuring that every trek is rooted in the same “Be Prepared” philosophy he learned as a scout.
His foundation was built in the Boy Scouts, where he spent his school years learning that nature is the best teacher. Since then, he hasn’t stopped moving.
